There's basically 7 different Party Banter per chapter in the entire game (excluding the prologue chapters). So if you replay the same chapter with different party members you'll have different party banters. Now if you had P, A and T as allies instead you would have chat between C and P, A and then T seperately. This means that during the chapter C will have a private chat with O, T and other O. Let's say you have O, C, T and other O on your party and you do chapter 2 of C. The party banter works automatically based on your current party. Like Cyrus, Tressa and Ophilia playing cards, or Olberic, Therion and Ophilia training for battle together. All the scenes I've seen included 3 characters which are not necessarily on your party and are basically "group scenes". The tavern party banters happen when you enter a tavern (I don't know what triggers it, and I started to have it only after finishing a story entirely so I'm not sure how it works exactly). I ended up keeping the same 4 for most of my time which I enjoyed since I had dialogs only between those 4 which made the party more enjoyable and gave a lot more persoanlity to my 4 characters. This is basically the only element in the game that gives any reason whatsoever to start a new savefile as you are locked with your party when you start a chapter and all party banters are dependant of your current party. I doubt you can do it once the chapter is over. If you miss one you can re-enter the area in which it triggers and listen to it, though I haven't tried for how long you can do that. So if you do Cyrus' chapter X with Tressa, Ophilia and let's say Olberic then all 3 at some point during the chapter will have a chat with Cyrus. There's two types of party banters, the ones that appear during a chapter and the ones that appear at the tavern.įor those happening during a chapter you simply have one dialog per character on your party with the character relevant to that story per chapter. I find it fascinating that marketing never mentionned them and the only test I saw online made an awful job at talking about them.
